Write and Vibe (Vibes) is an independent publishing company in Cleveland, Ohio, founded in 2020 by Cori Sykes. Vibes was originally slated to open as a writer’s only co-working location in Cleveland, Ohio, but due to COVID-19, plans were halted, adjusted, and changed to allow Vibes to press forward.

As an independent publisher, Vibes is a proud member of the Independent Book Publishers Association and follows the strict guidelines set by them in order to publish quality works that authors can be proud of.

When you work with us, regardless of the service you select, you can rest assured knowing that we strive to make sure that your book can compete in the marketplace right next to those that have been traditionally published. FOUNDER + OWNER

Cori Sykes

Cori Sykes, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is the founder of Write and Vibe Publishing and a multi-talented creative dedicated to storytelling, literary education, and community building. She is the author of romance novels published under the pen name Chichima Cherry, as well as the Curiously Cara children’s book series published in honor of her late mother, Karen Mae.

With more than fifteen years of writing experience, Cori has helped bring over fifteen books to life while mentoring and encouraging aspiring authors throughout their creative journeys. Her passion for storytelling extends beyond writing into teaching, publishing, and creating accessible spaces for writers to learn and grow.

Cori has taught writing classes through partnerships with Cleveland Public Library and the Inkubator Writing Conference, covering topics related to creative writing, publishing, and character development. Through Write and Vibe, she also curated educational programming led by renowned bestselling authors and local subject matter experts. In addition, she successfully led a private writing community focused on accountability, creativity, and professional development for writers.

As a speaker and literary advocate, Cori has served as a keynote presenter for writing conferences and has spoken at TEDxYo. Her work and creative initiatives have been featured by various publications and podcasts, reflecting her ongoing commitment to empowering writers and amplifying diverse stories.

When not writing or publishing, Cori enjoys reading, baking, running, and puzzling.
